Serves as an accessibility knowledge expert for teams across the enterprise and externally as needed. Your role may include presenting internally and externally, providing training, coaching a team during different phases of the development cycle and coaching a team to integrate accessibility into their processes
Performs technical work such as accessibility design reviews, evaluating digital experiences and sharing the results with stakeholders, coding, automated and manual accessibility testing, making content accessible, creating training materials, and evaluating supplier products and services to determine if they meet accessibility requirements
Leverages knowledge and experience to continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to accessibility processes, tools and training
Helps to innovate and create efficiencies by developing better processes, templates, tools and deliverables for use by the Accessibility Center of Excellence team

Required Qualifications:
5+ years working in a digital accessibility role
2+ years working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with experience in large, complex organizations
Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) principles, best practices and emerging trends
Intermediate technical knowledge such as user-centered design principles and tools, agile development methodology, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, procuring digital assets, creating pattern libraries, design technical writing, React and React Native, document accessibility, digital accessibility industry tools, assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon NaturallySpeaking or other speech recognition software
Intermediate knowledge of digital accessibility standards such as the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0-2.2 AA and specifications, PDF UA standards, Section 508, kiosk accessibility and accessible procurement best practices
Proven self-motivated with a desire to improve products for people with disabilities
Proven mastery of working collaboratively and productively both with diverse teams and independently
Demonstrated success collaborating with teams who don't have any understanding of inclusion or accessibility
Proven solid organizational skills, ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects
Proven solid communication skills including the ability to advocate, persuade and build relationships, the ability to teach and train a variety of audiences and to collaborate with stakeholders from different industries and navigate a large, complex organization

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
