Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for architecture design and implementation of enterprise data platform in meeting the growing complex business needs to support use of data-driven insights in achieving business outcomes and customer centricity.

Job Accountabilities / Key Result Areas

• Translate functional and non-functional requirements to technical data solution architecture and design leveraging cloud data technologies such as AWS or Microsoft Azure data platform

• Design an enterprise data solution that caters today's and future's business needs with speed, cost effectiveness and scaling in balanced way

• Build data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flows

• Work closely with data teams and IT in planning, design, implementation and operations of secured, scalable and high-performance data platform for now and future needs

• Responsible for DataOps on data management including data pipeline, data storage, data distribution, data disposition, data quality management, data protection, and data governance with accordance data policies, data standards, guiding principles, technology standards and patterns

• Manage internal and external stakeholders across multiple teams for overall technical delivery of target state enterprise data solution

• Establish effective and trusted relations with stakeholders, manage their expectations, and achieve business goals with alignment with enterprise strategy

• Data solutions implemented are high data quality, speed, cost effective and consistency to solve business problems, meet organizational goals and drive innovations

• Data solutions implemented with automation so that rapid innovation and data analytics can deliver new insights to customers with increasing velocity

• Data solutions implemented with clear measurement, monitoring, and transparency of results

• Data architecture and solution design adhere to the enterprise architecture

• Communicate with stakeholders to elicit business needs, technical needs, and data requirements, and design fit-for-purpose data platform

• Collaborate with data team, IT team and vendors on the planning, design, development, operations and maintenance of data solution

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree, preferably in Analytics, Statistics, Software, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or Engineering

• Microsoft Azure Data Analyst related certification

• More than 8 years of experience in building data solution such as data warehouse, data lake, customer data hub and BI - Proven skills in data architecture, cloud architecture, enterprise integration architecture, analytics architecture and enterprise data management

• Strong design principles and practices in data lake, data warehouse, MDM, BI, OLTP and OLAP

• Knowledge of professional data engineering practices & best practices for the waterfall and agile methodology with regards to DataOps

• Strong organizational, analytical ability, judgement and problem analysis techniques with attention to detail

• Stakeholder management and effective communication

• Data storytelling using data, visuals and narrative to ensure data platfrom design are understood and articulated value in delivering organization goals
