    Caterpillar Inc. has an exciting opening for a Senior Cost Project Coordinator! This position will manage product cost targets and progress towards these targets across the Caterpillar Paving product line. This role will coordinate the improvement of the quarterly Product Cost Management (PCM) process by expanding sales model coverage, managing configurations on cost models, and setting targets by model and by facility.

    This role will also coordinate total cost of ownership (TCO) and discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis to confirm cost reduction opportunities for Paving including new sourcing summaries by wave and by supplier.

    What You Will Do:

    • Tracking cost progress according to program schedules and goals

    • Engaging in component sourcing projects to track and mange cost reduction progress.

    • Coordinate NPI cost roll-ups with the cost controllers and deliver them on a quarterly basis

    • Track capital, expensed tooling, and R&E budgets for cost reduction projects.

    • Manage the cost Line of Sight (LOS) Tool for Caterpillar Paving Products to reflect active and planned projects to deliver cost reduction through 2026.

    What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

    • Degree requirement: 4 Year Degree in Accounting, Engineering or Business Disciplines is required.

    • Experience: Deep expertise in product development conducting financial analysis or cost management activities.

    • Project Management: Project experience across multiple disciplines (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain).

    • Data Gathering and Reporting: A Basic understanding of product cost inputs, accounting methodologies, and tracking metrics.

    • Data Gathering and Reporting : Experience conducting and/or analyzing discounted cashflow (DCF) and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis

    Top Candidates Will Have :

    • High level of verbal and written communication skills; an ability to see the big picture; the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently with a diverse global team.

    • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and understanding of the product development process including cost tracking and financial methodologies.

    • Experience with data analysis, manipulation, and relevant tools (Excel, PowerBi, Tableau, etc.).

    • Experience with MRP and cost tracking systems including accounting practices and how they apply to each facility.

    Additional Info :

    • 5-10% domestic and international travel is expected.

    • Domestic relocation is not available for those who qualify.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $95,640.00 - $143,520.00

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
