Senior Cost Analyst

Description

We are seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in Northwest Metro. As a Senior Cost Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the company's cost systems, inventory, and gross margin analysis. You will be expected to work cross-functionally to identify cost-effective solutions and drive continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Become the go-to expert in cost analysis within the company, understanding the details of the costing process.

• Collaborate with multiple departments and plants in the organization, helping to drive accurate costing and improved accountability, profitability, and financial analysis.

• Lead continuous improvement efforts around costing processes.

• Identify and implement best practices, SOPs, and standard process documentation.

• Work on improvement and maintenance of the company's cost systems and inventory.

• Analyze gross margin components, providing detailed analysis to the team.

• Utilize your knowledge of Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning in performing daily duties.

• Utilize Oracle, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook for various tasks.

• Perform accounting close process, prepare Journal Entries, and handle Account Reconciliation.

• Exhibit excellent Communication Skills in all aspects of the role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry

• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Proficiency with Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly Oracle

• Strong Communication Skills

• Experience in preparing Journal Entries and Journal Entry Preparation

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
