    We are seeking a Senior Architectural Designer - Chewy Vet Care in Bellevue, WA to join our Chewy Vet Care Design and Architecture team. The ideal candidate will be adept at translating customer and business needs into innovative well-crafted physical spaces which align with the Chewy brand ethos and customer experience customers know and love. You know how to create physical spaces that enable pet parents, veterinarians, and the business to accomplish their goals in the most elegant and enjoyable way possible, while remaining compliant with local and national codes, on budget and on time. You remain aware of ever-evolving business goals and deliver concepts, spaces and experiences that respond, and anticipate future evolutions.     What You'll Do:

    • Transform customer and business objectives into compelling spaces that have purpose, simplicity, and are feasible to build within the timeline and budget boundaries established.

    • Develop multiple solutions for a specific challenge that can be delivered across a range of real estate types and with a bias for action and crisp prioritization.

    • Manage the design process for your projects from end to end: Discovery and Due Diligence, Schematic Design, Design Development drawings which communicate intent to our third-party AOR/EOR, coordination and collaboration of Construction Documents with the AOR/EOR and internal teams, and Construction Administration during the construction phase.

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, marketers, user researchers, and other designers. Manage 3P services, relationships, budgets, timelines, and quality.

    • Champion cohesion and consistency to unite a growing portfolio of Chewy Vet Care locations, you'll look to simplify our process and ensure our locations have a common experience.

    • Clearly present your design process, inspiration, and decisions to stakeholders, including C-suite executives.

    • Nurture Chewy's culture and principles within your team and the design practice.

    What You'll Need:

    • 7+ years of experience as an architect, interior designer, concept designer, or similar role

    • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale design initiatives while delivering through ambiguity and evolving business needs.

    • Proficient skills in Revit, AutoCad, Bluebeam Revu, Enscape, Sketchup, Adobe and Microsoft suites

    • A track record of delivering high-quality, accurate drawing sets that deliver results and demonstrate the depth of your design skills; illustrated in a portfolio or case studies.

    • Proven experience communicating and presenting complex problems clearly to both internal and external stakeholders and approvers.

    • A proven ability to evaluate the customer and business impact of your design decisions.

    • Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent degree) in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience within the design or AEC field.

    • The position will require travel and will require time in the local office.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    Our salary range for a Senior Architectural Designer - Chewy Vet Care position is $129,500.00 - $207,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

    Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
