    This is a full-time, salaried position with a range starting at $45K-$52k DOE plus benefits.The position will work out of our busy Corporate Office in Downtown Albuquerque.

    Position Purpose: The Senior AP/AR Clerk is responsible for specific aspects of the accounting function, including accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, deposits, bank reconciliations and monitoring of costs and expenses. Yardi Voyager is used for most of the Property Management and Accounting functions. QuickBooks is also used for some Accounting functions.

    Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

    • Work directly with the Accounting, Property Management, and Leasing/Brokerage teams, providing information vital to the decision-making process.
    • Oversee and participate in the processing of A/P, including account coding, check preparation and assuring timely payment of all payables.
    • Participate in the processing of A/R, including timely tenant billings and accounting for rent deposits.
    • Monitor cash balances.
    • Prepare or review monthly bank reconciliations.
    • Prepare and process payables for property construction projects.
    • Assist with financial statement reports for property management.
    • Assist with annual Operating Expense reconciliations.
    • Prepare annual Form 1099 reporting.
    • Timely make all property tax and personal property tax payments.
    • Complete all other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Five (5) years experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable
    • General knowledge of accounting/financial systems
    • Two years of Quickbooks or equivalent experience
    • Commercial real estate experience preferred, but not required
    • Experience with Yardi software (or similar property management software) preferred, but not required
    • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office or similar software applications
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written)
    • Self-motivated, punctual, and efficient in handling work assignments
    • Ability to effectively prioritize time and workload.
    • Must be able to work with sensitive and confidential material with discretion and confidentiality
    • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
    • Must have a good driving record, valid, driver's license, vehicle insurance and a reliable vehicle
