Senior Accountant

Siegfried Rivera is seeking a Senior Accountant with 6+ years of accounting experience in a law firm. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment. Essential skills include:

1. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles in a legal context.

2. Proficiency in legal billing, accounts payable/receivable, and accounting procedures.

3. Experience in preparing monthly financial reports and reconciling multiple bank accounts.

4. Ability to perform month-end closing activities and review journal entries.

5. Competence in GL coding, auditing expenses, and analyzing trust/prepaid balances.

6. Skilled in data analysis, identifying inconsistencies, and auditing outstanding checks.

7. Proficiency with biweekly payroll processing and payroll journal entries.

8. Familiarity with online banking, including reviewing transactions and wire transfers.

9. Strong time management and communication skills, both written and verbal.

10. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team.

11. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with PerfectLaw software preferred.
