SEM Technician

As a Fab 4 YE SEM Technician at Micron, you will focus on the operation and minor maintenance of SEMs and Dual Beams (FIB/SEM), sample preparation for SEM /Dual Beam that includes safe operation of the acid hood, sputter coaters, ion millers, UV cleaners, March/Oxford etchers, SELA (micro-cleaving tool), CMP, Nikon Optiphot and Zeiss Microtronics optical microscopes. Perform physical failure analysis using SEM, FIB, de-layering, and a keen eye for detail.

In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide SEM support for FAB 4 YE part types (NAND, DRAM, and EM)

• Communicate with part type engineers regarding requests, priorities, and/or general communications regarding the queue, etc.

• Communicate with Micron team members and supplier representatives at all levels regarding tool issues, requests, support items, etc.

Qualified candidates for this position will have

• Good understanding of FAB process steps: wet etch, dry etch, PVD, ALD, CMP, etc.

• Ability to prioritize and work independently

• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

• Ability to analyze problems and provide resolution

• Experience in semiconductor physical failure analysis preferred but not required

• PC skills to include M.S. Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote)

• Availability to work 12 hour shift on either day or night shift including availability for weekends
