    Evenings

    • Monday - Friday (1600-0000)

    Location: 2525 S DOWNING ST, Denver, 80210

    The role you'll contribute:

    Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures locks and unlocks doors, assists in the Emergency Department, remains alert for fire and safety hazards, controls access into the facility, responds to all emergency codes and helps enforce hospital policies. Performs similar duties to provide a safe and secure hospital environment for patients, employees, and visitors.

    The value you'll bring to the team:

    • Patrols hospital building and grounds according to established round schedule in order to detect and prevent theft, vandalism, fire, and other threats to hospital security. Records time of patrols. Reports potentially hazardous conditions and suspicious activities to the appropriate department or supervisor.

    • Makes periodic unscheduled rounds. Checks all fire alarm and fire extinguishers and reports need for maintenance or replacement.

    • Monitors hospital facilities through use of security cameras. Notes suspicious activity and responds to unusual or potentially dangerous conditions.

    • Ensures that all doors are locked, and areas secured as required. Unlocks areas according to the predetermined schedule or at the request of authorized personnel.

    Qualifications

    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Must be 21 year of age or older; 3 years security related experience in a healthcare setting, or equivalent security experience outside of healthcare, or law enforcement

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire

    • Current valid Driver's License from the state of employment

    • Essentials of Aggression Management in Healthcare certification required within 30 days of hire

    • Taser Certified (certification required within 30 days of hire)

    • KOGA (certification required within 30 days of hire)
