Security Manager

Description:

BASIC FUNCTION:Manage all aspects of building security services for residential supportive housing buildings located in the Bronx.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Responsible for all shift operations

• Ensure that the site is secure from intrusion by unauthorized persons

• Prevent the damage of property

• To ensure the safety of residents, visitors and staff

• To maintain and improve the quality of life at the site by overseeing all activities conducted by Resident Monitors performance and incident reporting

• Provide security detail and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments.

• Maintain professional image that includes greeting customers, visitors and employees in a polite and friendly manner.

Patrol of buildings and perimeters

• Always perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, making note of any and all activity that takes place in the assigned area

• Monitor cameras or equipment in a continuous fashion as outlined in the post orders. Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations to be able to respond to alarms, incidents and emergency situations

• Willing/Able to be on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week in case of emergency

• Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and all relevant reports related to job assignment.

• Ideal candidate should possess a professional but amiable relationship with both the public and the NYPD

• Make recommendations to management on better safety and loss prevention processes as identified during daily routine.

• All other job duties as required

SCHEDULE: Full Time

RATE: $54,000 - $54,000 / year

LOCATION: Bronx, NY

Requirements:

QUALIFICATION - EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED).

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of security related job work preferably with at least 2 years in supervisory position.

• NYS Security Guard license is required.

• Valid/Clean NYS Driver's License

• Must clear criminal background and drug test

• Must have the availability and flexibility to work day/even/overnight and weekend shifts on an as needed.

Compensation details: 54000-54000 Yearly Salary
