    Role Summary

    The IT Security Architect works with teams to deliver new technology capabilities to the Company's owners, customers, and partners within the organization. The IT Security Architect helps set the security designs and parameters that delivery teams operate within. In addition, the IT Security Architect helps build and support governance processes that ensure that team deliverables meet the Company's standards for performance, confidentiality, availability, quality, integrity, security, maintainability, and compliance.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Leads the security-focused architectural efforts of large, complex projects (e.g., a family of products or IT services) involving multiple vendors, multiple technologies, leading-edge technologies, and broad implications for architecture and develops roadmap incorporating industry best practices.

    • Innovate Security Solutions: Recommend cutting-edge security technologies to enhance IHG's security posture, ensuring robust protection against emerging threats.

    • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform gap assessments between current implementations and policies and standards.

    • Lead Strategic Development: Oversee the creation and review of policies, standards, and controls, while managing the architectural lifecycle and ensuring compliance with validated designs.

    • Collaborate and Analyze: Engage with diverse teams and senior management to analyze system risk end-to-end and prescribe security architectural solutions, all while staying updated on the latest security trends

    Education

    Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

    Experience

    Typically, a minimum of 10+ years of work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple related disciplines, technologies, or processes.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Knowledge of the key principles of Information Security, Risk Management, Proactive Security, Crisis Management, Business Continuity.

    • Familiarity with and understanding of industry-standard security and regulatory frameworks and the application of controls to IT and security architecture (e.g., NIST SP 800-53/-171, ISO-2700X, NIST CsF, NISPOM, NISP RMF, HIPAA, SOX, and/or PCI DSS).

    • Knowledge of AI security topics, including securing generative AI and machine learning systems.

    • Understanding of IT hosting models (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS) and associated security issues.

    • Ability to propose secure solutions for cloud and AI implementations.

    • Proficient in the lifecycle of technical systems: design, security, deployment, and maintenance.

    • Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies.

    • Strong analytical skills to assess information and draw conclusions.

    • Understanding of security's role in protecting IHG's brand.

    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing conditions.

    • Critical thinking and decision-making skills under uncertainty.

    • Capability to influence and collaborate across organizational levels.

    • Experience in influencing multi-disciplinary teams.

    • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Proactive problem identification and process improvement recommendations.

    • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to satisfaction.

    • Project management experience in large-scale initiatives.

    • Analytical, results-focused, and action-oriented mindset.

    The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $175,000. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

    **This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
