Security Analyst

Description

We are looking for an adept Security Analyst to join our client's team in Madison, WI. As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for enhancing information security in the organization. You will research, plan, and recommend effective security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

This is a Direct Hire (FTE) role that will require a hybrid work schedule in Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and recommend security measures and controls to protect digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.

• Respond to computer security breaches and virus reports.

• Conduct vulnerability auditing, reporting, and patch management for the entire company.

• Work closely with the network team to maintain the integrity of the network and data.

• Recommend and implement changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access.

• Collect data from a variety of network security tools, including intrusion detection systems, firewall logs, and host system logs to analyze events and identify potential threats.

• Educate staff on information security through training and awareness.

Requirements

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of previous experience as a Security Analyst or Network Administrator.

• Experience with Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, Pen Testing, compliance, and security audits.

• Familiarity with web-related technologies, such as Web Services, Security, SOA and Web-based Applications.

• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Relevant degree and/or certifications are preferred, but not required.
