  • Job Description

    Works closely with the customer to comprehensively design and implement new system functionality. Writes requirements, supports development, performs integration testing of new or modified products in a Systems Integration Laboratory and on airborne and ground-based platforms. Verifies and validates new baseline functionality while ensuring legacy functionality continues to work as intended. Will interface with other Systems Engineers, Agile Development Engineering, Flight Line Test, Product Development and Project Engineering to understand new baseline functionality.

    Follows existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with system hardware and software and verifies subsequent anomaly fixes.

    Interfaces with the customer to ensure their satisfaction with system performance.

    Will work with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work.

    Will provide regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to management and the customer.

    Understanding of both software engineering, hardware engineering, and program management.

    Prepare and present technical results for internal and external program meetings

    Document and support infrastructure, network, & mission processor design verification tests within lab, ground and flight test environments.

    Develop, track and present technical metrics

    Manage requirements using collaborative tools through all phases of the project.

    Read and interpret block diagrams, wire diagrams, mechanical drawings and circuit schematics

    Skills and Requirements

    Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience

    Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area

    Basic knowledge of project management

    Active Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain TS/SCI

    Possess knowledge and understanding of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)

    Possess Operational COMINT system experience

    Possess in-depth knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) theory and design

    Able to perform RF cascade analysis, properly distribute and balance gain to minimize system noise and maximize dynamic range

    Ability to make accurate measurements with VNAs, Spec. Analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes etc.

    Understanding of sampling theory

    Basic network familiarity and awareness of the Open Systems Intercommunication (OSI) model

    Understanding of both software engineering, hardware engineering, and program management Sense of urgency and responsiveness

    Able to work autonomously

    Possess ability to accommodate multiple tasking sources and able to adapt to new tasks

    Possess strong communication skills and able to build and maintain professional relationships

    Understanding of RF communication systems, modulations, encoding and multiplexing

    Understanding of single and multi-ship direction finding techniques including technology trade-offs, watson-watt, doppler, correlative interferometry, TDOA, and FOA

    Comfort with Matlab scripting

    Familiarity with Hypervisor, containers, and Linux operating including comfort with Command Line Linux

    Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems specifically System Application Products (SAP)

    Possess in depth knowledge of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology

    Possess in-depth knowledge of Antenna Array design

    Possess basic to in-depth knowledge of project management null
