    A Snapshot of Your Day

    Seal cell operator begin their days normally working 37.5-hour week Monday - Friday nights. Once clocked in they put on designated safety gear. After completing these tasks, the seal cell operator will look over their job assignments for the day, ensuring materials, tools and traceability requirements have all been reviewed and are available before starting work.

    The daily tasks may vary considerably from one day to another. They may include things like:

    • Set up, adjust, and operate machinery for sizing and/or forming roll seals and seal strips to specified dimension and material specifications, and to prepare and ship finished product.

    • Operating a computer to retrieve, record and read product data and instructions

    • Calculating dimensions and tolerances with specialized precision measuring tools

    • Setting up, operating, and disassembling small manual machines

    • Measuring and testing finished products to verify their quality

    • Cleaning, deburring finished work products

    What You Bring

    • Minimum education requirement: High School diploma or GED.

    • Must pass standard tests, familiar with close-tolerance measuring equipment, ability to use Microsoft software, SAP and OneP. Must possess or be able to obtain forklift license and golf cart license

    • Ability to obtain Rigger 1 license

    • Like working with your hands and have a great attention to detail.

    • Analytical person who is mechanically minded with strong math and communication skills.

    • Possess strong attention to detail.

    • Ability to work autonomously and independently, excel at following directions, and have a grasp of computers.

    • Knowledge of shop mathematics, read/interpret drawings, specifications, charts and tables.

    • Capable of using various measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, micrometers).

    Other requirements

    Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

    Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate - Silver Status required

    Offers of employment are contingent up successful completion of pre-hire background checks and testing. This includes drug screen and fit for duty testing.
