  • Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Washington site is looking for a new Freight Audit Specialist to join our Sea Logistics team.

    Your Role

    Reporting to the Sea Logistics Emergency Operations & Relief Manager you will be a member of the 4PL department. You will provide essential support to the rate procurement process adhering to established procedures.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Auditing

    • Liaise with our FBP&A Partner BBA for all topics on invoice audit, exception resolution and payment

    • Review and manage invoice exceptions, to include rate sheets, approvals and supporting EDI messages

    • Investigate and coordinate with Carriers and Customer to resolve invoice discrepancies

    • Conduct daily monitoring of unresolved invoices

    • Maintain a daily invoice tracking file

    • Monitor the successful transmission of pay files and pay return files between the

    • Provide an overview and address questions related to FBPA to Clients/Carriers/Colleagues/Partners

    • Participate in Client/Carriers/Partner internal Meetings related to FBPA

    • Maintain all files related to FBPA

    • Analyze rates or freight spent by charge type, mode and country pairs

    • Create reports to determine trends and establish savings opportunities

    • Perform additional tasks as needed.

    Your Skills and Experiences

    • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / International Business

    • Work experience of at least 3 years

    • 2+ years' experience in International Supply Chain

    • Travel will be required as part of this role
