Scientist II

Can be level I or II depending on experience

General working hours (8 am.-5 p.m.), able to be flexible in working hours depending on project needs

Length of the assignment (6 months, 12 months, 2 years)? 1 year, renewable for 2 years

Scientist I: BS degree with 2-4 years of industry experience.

Scientist II: BS degree with 4-6 years of industry experience. MS degree with relevant graduate research and 0-3 years of industry experience (preferred).

• BS, or MS in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, bioengineering or related disciplines with industry experience in formulation and/or process development.

• Must have experience with biologics and/or small-molecule parenteral injectables formulation, drug delivery, and/or manufacturing process development, and related analytical methods.

• Strong communicator, team player, with curiosity (eager to learn), and with cross functional experiences.

a. Required Skill 1: experience with parenteral products (injectables) formulation and/or process development

b. Required Skill 2: working knowledge with one or more manufacturing unit operations ( ultrafiltration, diafiltration, freeze drying, spray drying, mixing, filling and/or sterile filtration)

c. Required Skill 3: experience with analytical methods for protein therapeutics (SEC-HPLC, icIEF, Karl Fischer titration, viscometers, fluorescence, DSC, UV-Vis)

d. Required Skill 4: statistical data analysis; hands-on experience with DoE (Minitab, JMP)

e. Required Skill 5: ability to work/think independently
