  • Job Description:

    In this position, the Scheduler is responsible for scheduling appointments for patients with SVFCC physicians and outside facilities based on referrals.

    • Schedules patient appointments in EMR

    • Manages work queues and inboxes related to scheduling.

    • Schedules internal and external referrals

    • Coordinates and schedules appointments for SVFCC physicians and outside facilities, based on referrals.

    • Answers calls and retrieves voicemail related to patient scheduling.

    • Manages patient reschedules based on physician availability

    • Sends reminders regarding future patient appointments.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    • Minimum of thee years experience in a front office position in a physician clinic setting

    • General applied knowledge of medical terminology, CPT4, ICDCM, HCPCS, Medicare, Medicaid and insurance guidelines.

    • Strong knowledge of customer service skills

    • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment

    • Experience in understanding and usage of computers as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

    $17.85 - $24.26
