    About the role

    • Our Coatis North America team, composed of 5 people, is integrated into the Global Sales & Marketing department and focuses on supplying local customers in North America and Canada in collaboration with different teams mainly in Brazil.

    • As a Sales Development Manager , you will be responsible for developing and managing new business, as well as current accounts. This includes gathering business information, developing commercial tactical plans, and executing these plans to generate benefits and added value for the company. You will be responsible for finding, developing and closing qualified leads, identifying new business opportunities, managing new business relationships, and developing submarkets for new product/market combinations.

    • You will be accountable for:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers through proactive communication and regular visits to discuss commercial opportunities

    • Identify, investigate and follow up on qualified leads and develop business for potential customers in key market areas

    • Maintain and continuously improve knowledge about products, applications and markets in the industry

    • Develop, negotiate and monitor contracts and pricing for new business opportunities

    • Evaluate and propose innovative solutions for customer problems and coordinate with internal resources when needed to meet customer requests/demands and ensure issues are resolved

    • We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid/travel working mode. Approximately 60-70% of travel is required within North America.

    About you

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or other technical field

    • 5 to 7 years of related commercial experience in the chemical industry including customer interaction

    • Competencies:

    • Previous experience in solvents, polymers, water treatment, fragrances, homecare and paper chemicals

    • Ability to educate customers/colleagues both on the technical aspects of the molecules and products on the commercial side, and communicate/present well in a succinct and compelling way

    • Behaviors:

    About the pay and benefits

    • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the U.S. base pay reasonably expected for this role is $103,360 to $129,200, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
