    About this Role:

    The Safety coordinator manages the overall safety, health, and training of each project assigned. In addition, this position oversees on-site personnel from a safety perspective, including any safety representatives assigned to projects. This position is the primary point of contact for safety-related programs/incidents and client interfaces.

    What You'll Do:

    • Leads project safety, training, and health initiatives for each project assigned.

    • Oversees subcontractor and vendor on-site personnel from a safety perspective.

    • Proactively helps and supports crew members to achieve a safe work environment.

    • Collaborates with Construction operations to support weekly safety meetings.

    • Conducts project observations.

    • Communicates with client safety representatives.

    • Conduct safety onboarding training for new crew members.

    • Conducts accident and incident investigations.

    • Reviews and understands all project-specific, customer, and safety requirements; ensures compliance at project sites.

    • Review subcontractor safety plans

    • Creates and updates safety plans.

    • Ensures proper reporting from employees (JHA’s, tailboards, etc.)

    • Manages project roster and ensures adequate training for all field personnel.

    • Performs any other duties assigned.

    • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

    What You'll Bring:

    • Knowledge of OSHA legislation/requirements, resources, and inspection process

    • Lineman experience

    • Working knowledge of Minimum Approach Distances (M.A.D.)

    • Self-starter

    • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

    • Strong problem evaluation/solving skills.

    • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with other team members.

    • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)

    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

    • Travel: Yes

    • Percent of Time: Up to 90%
