Essential Functions:- Generate and Develop New Business
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and developing new safety apparel clients, with a strong focus on North Dakota's oil and gas industries.
- Build and Maintain Client Relationships
- Network with industry contacts, nurture relationships, and provide consultative sales solutions for clients' safety and industrial apparel needs.
- Educate and Inform
- Communicate with clients to understand their safety requirements and recommend products and services to meet these needs with top-notch integrity.
- Sales Tracking and CRM Management
- Use Salesforce CRM to manage client records, sales activities, and performance tracking to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Participate in Industry Events
- Attend local trade shows, business events, and networking opportunities to promote Phelps and connect with potential clients in the safety and oil/gas sectors.
- Prepare and Present Proposals
- Craft tailored sales proposals that highlight Phelps' high-quality, safety-compliant products and reliability as a trusted safety partner.

Education/Experience Required:- 5+ years of sales experience
- High School Diploma
Education/Experience Preferred:- 10 years of sales experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Physical Requirements:- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information
- Understand and respond to a diverse population
- Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds at times
- Proof of insurance and a safe MVR record is required
- Ability to use telephone/cell phone to communicate with customers, inside sales and support, and outside sales personnel
- Primarily travel based but also an inside average office environment
- Must occasionally be in production area for pickup of customer orders, average time of 30 minutes or less in other areas than office
- Average office noise levels with no PPE required
