Job Description

We are looking for new team members to fill the positions of Roofers reporting to the on-site supervisor. You will be accountable for working as part of a cohesive team to repair, replace, or install various roofing applications on commercial projects, which may include heritage restorations.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team on projects that include re-roofing and new construction

• Remove and dispose of old roofing materials

• Load, unload, and organize supplies and materials at the site

• Use hand tools and power tools for removal and installation

• Ensure site clean up to maintain a safe work environment for all

• Install or replace a variety of commercial roofing systems including metal, torch-on, membrane, and those that are architecturally significant or historical in nature (Siplast, Zinc, Copper)

• Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation

• Work at heights while following safety protocols

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience and knowledge of various roofing systems for small to large commercial and some residential projects

• Experience with torch-on roofing

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work at heights

Work Environment

Typically working 8 hours a day, with more busy periods during the summer which may include overtime over 8 hours under a variance agreement. Winter hours are generally 8 hours per day. Work shifts range from 8-12 hours depending on the project, from Monday to Friday starting at 7 am. The job is transit-friendly and you will report to the Site Foreman. PPE is provided, but you need steel-toed boots. Projects typically last around 4-6 months.
