    Looking for a PAWsome co-op opportunity? We are seeking a Robotics Software Engineer Co-op for the Fulfillment Automation Team in our Boston, MA location! In this role you will be a key member of the technology team that researches, develops, tests, and deploys scalable industrial automation, robotics, and warehouse control software systems to support the growth of Chewy's fulfillment operations!

    Co-op Timeframe: June 2, 2025 - December 5, 2025 (must be available for the full duration)

    Qualified Students: Rising Seniors graduating in Spring 2026

    What You'll Do

    • Develop industrial automation and robotic systems

    • Develop functional software and hardware specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures

    • Test concepts and features through simulators, emulators, and with live equipment

    • Build performant and reliable production-ready systems which can be deployed at scale

    • Partner with internal software teams to integrate systems with Chewy's warehouse management system

    • Work with internal operations Team Members to acquire system feedback and measure system performance

    • Partner with external vendors to develop, test, and deploy systems at scale

    What You'll Need

    • Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's degree program in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2026

    • Experience working with industrial automation or robotic systems

    • Ability to program in Python, Java, C#, C++ or related language

    • Current permanent U.S. work authorization required

    • Ability to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday

    Bonus (if applicable)

    • Experience crafting and developing machine learning models

    • Exposure to developing applications for computer vision systems and autonomous vehicles

    • Excellent organization, communication, and writing skills

    The specific hourly range offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k.

    Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) subject to manager approval. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.

    Pay Range

    $32-$32 USD
