ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as Point of Contact on all points of the breakdown process from initial call to payment of invoices
- Analyzes and Authorizes repair issues and uses discretion to determine whom to use for repairs
- Uses discretion to approve or deny what work will be completed
- Provides drivers with options to use for maintenance of break downs while on the road
- Keeps interfacing departments abreast of ongoing situation in timely manner
- Functions as liaison between driver and repair shop of driver’s choice
- Maintains honest and open dialog with the driver at all times
- Utilizes software database to locate shops that can handle the particular problem at hand
- Notifies interfacing departments of the location of the chosen shop and repairs that will need to be done
- Continually updates interfacing departments and drivers of progress/time frame
- Processes payment for services rendered through com check or accounts payable
- Ensures all records and invoices are scanned into software
- Responsible for various dispatch duties, including, but not limited to, making contact with drivers after normal working hours; ensuring critical loads and issues are given attention in a timely manner.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous maintenance and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of trucking industry a plus.
- Knowledge of equipment and breakdown/repairs a plus.

- Must be customer oriented.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment.
- This position requires the ability to multi-task, make quick decisions, handle sensitive situations, and take initiative above and beyond to ensure timeliness of repairs and mobility of the truck in question.
