    The role you'll contribute:

    The RN Clinical Scholar is a registered professional nurse who demonstrates expertise in clinical nursing. RN Clinical Scholars are responsible for supervision and evaluation of nursing students in clinical rotations within Centura Health. The RN Clinical Scholar works in collaboration with the Clinical Student Placement Coordinator in the Department of Professional Development and the course faculty at affiliated academic institutions. Assumes accountability and responsibility for collaborative development of nursing students and new associates through clinical oversight, mentorship and professional development activities. Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in accordance with policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. The scope of the role will be determined through collaboration with leadership, educators, and advanced practice nurses to enhance the quality of patient care. A facility requirement to work as a unit based RN may be required.

    Qualifications

    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

    • Five years of nursing experience.

    • Requires advanced knowledge in nursing, evidence-based practice methods, and person-centered care concepts.

    • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to assigned clinical rotations.

    • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office products; student placement and learning management system experience

    • Current Colorado RN License or a Compact RN License from a NCLA Compact State
