  • Job Summary:

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    The RISE Grant Manager is a grant-funded position responsible for program development, implementation, and maintenance of the RISE Grant, including writing policy and process, managing grant operations, cultivating community resource relationships, and ensuring the program objectives are achieved to the standard of all involved agencies. The RISE Grant Manager will facilitate the program with experience, compassion, and a unique understanding of obstacles and situations that impede a non-custodial parent’s personal growth and involvement to address the barriers to obtaining stable and secure employment by utilizing a comprehensive variety of support services.

    Job Duties:

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop, implement, and maintain policies/procedures that support the RISE program goals.

    • Interpret and properly apply federal, state, and tribal regulations/guidelines/laws pertaining to the grant.

    • Facilitates collaborative relationships with tribal and community-based programs and agencies to work with the RISE Program participants.

    • Develop methods for collecting program data, and selection criteria for program participants.

    • Manage programmatic reporting deadlines for RISE grant in accordance with multi-agency deadlines and requirements.

    • Communicate and collaborate effectively with the Child Support Services Director and federal partners.

    • May facilitate reports and presentations to community partners, Cherokee Nation staff, and/or other agencies.

    • Foster a team environment while implementing grant initiatives.

    • Plan, analyze, organize, and prioritize objectives for program and participants.

    • Manages the day-to-day operations of the grant and assigned staff and may assist with the grant budget.

    • Ensures staff are adequately trained and educated on behalf of the Child Support Services RISE Program.

    LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

    • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has authority for personnel decisions.

    • Sets work procedures, priorities and levels of responsibility and objectives.

    • Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.

    Qualifications:

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • At least two (2) years of experience in a related field.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    • A Valid Driver’s License

    • Motor Vehicle Report verifying driving history that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

    Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.
