    Position Summary

    As a Retail Sales Audit Accounting Analyst you will be responsible to verify the accuracy of retail sales and expenses generated at Point of Sale (POS), reconciliation, analysis, forecasting, budgeting and financial accuracy of transactional data in the auditing application SAP CAR. You will also be responsible for the determination of associated P&L losses impacting those accounts.

    • Monitors the overall SAP CAR Workbench window daily. Assists with auditing exception transactions in CAR to achieve daily or sales closing goals. Escalates production issues to Sr Analysts and/or external teams as needed. Performs research and communicates missing stores and missing transactions warnings to appropriate departments.

    • Analyzes Out of Balance transactions, store Over/Short, and Paidout/Special Receipt activity. Including trending, corrections, and reporting to field and internal management. Accurately performs reconciliations and correcting entries on a timely basis. Escalates issues to the proper departments and follows through to resolution.

    • Performs daily responsibilities outside of the SAP application necessary to monitor performance, report and/or correct financials, and reconcile data such as running AO queries or BOBJ reports, and downloading files into Access.

    • Identifies and resolves discrepancies and questions via email with store management and field operators, as they arise. Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

    • Assists with sales closing activities, outside of the auditing process, including the performance of SOX related controls. Responsible for ensuring all SOX documentation is compiled and ready for review when needed.

    • Monitors the progress of recreating register offline sales. Ensures that these are performed timely and accurately for month end reporting. Gathers necessary information from various settlement accounting areas to fully complete the process.

    • Researches and investigates weekly Store Activity of openings/closings. Creates and distributes a weekly report communicating the open/close dates of stores to internal and external departments.

    • Updates procedures accounting summaries for clarity and supports periodic reviews of team processes and suggest updates.

    Required Qualifications

    6+ months of experience in a Retail store, Bank, or Sales Audit role

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Intermediate Microsoft knowledge, specifically ACCESS and EXCEL and ability to navigate through financial systems

    • Problem solving skills and ability to perform root-cause analysis

    • Customer service skills

    • Ability to clearly and accurately verbalize with internal and external customers

    • Attention to detail

    • Time management and organizational skills

    • Bookkeeping skills

    • Self-directed

    • Familiarity with SAP systems or another ERP equivalent

    Education

    • High School Diploma or GED required

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is

    $18.50 - $38.82

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
