    The Research Scientist will conduct research in fields such as biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, and software development to generate analytical data for both internal and external clients. This may involve investigating new technologies and experimenting with the practical application of scientific theories. They will ensure that programs meet scientific objectives and are aligned with customer needs. Additionally, the Research Scientist will be responsible for building relationships with key opinion leaders in the industry and technology sectors.

    This role may require travel for up to 10%.

    This position is part of the Innovation and Technology Team located in London, ON and will be on-site.

    In this role, a typical day will look like:

    • Collect and transport samples from treatment facilities.

    • Perform water quality analyses, manage a database of results, and perform trend analyses of data.

    • Perform bench-scale filtration tests, write test reports, and manage a database of results.

    • Enter historical data from various sources into specified databases.

    • Present, analyze, and correlate data sets.

    • Design and execute experiments.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

    • Post-secondary graduate degree in science or engineering.

    • Experience with water quality issues and/or water treatment.

    • Experience in a laboratory environment.

    • Data management and analysis skills

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in any of the skills below:

    • Track record of conference presentations and/or peer-reviewed publications

    • Engineering knowledge through education or experience

    • Ability to critically review procedures, experiments and data
