Pay Range InformationChapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
Position Summary Information
Job Description SummaryUnder general supervision, the candidate should work effectively in a team environment and have demonstrated high productivity and reproducible technical skills, including mouse physiological assessments, mouse surgery, cell culture techniques, Western Blotting, DNA/RNA extraction and PCR, gene transfection, protein purification, and Immunofluorescence/Immunohistochemistry. This person is also expected to be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and knowledge of computers is essential for high volume research and maintenance of the data records. The candidate will be expected to present data in the weekly laboratory seminars after independent analysis and write the methodology and results for the manuscript and grant preparation. This person also provides trainings to undergraduate students and oversees their research on the day-to-day basis.
