Research Associate Faculty Position, Wilmer Eye Institute

We are seeking a motivated individual with combined expertise in retinal biology and systems biology, particularly with respect to the study of retinal cell aging and regeneration. Expertise in single-cell sequencing data analysis and methodology development will be especially valuable. In addition, proficiency and knowledge in bioinformatics algorithm development such as cell type annotation based on single-cell sequencing data would be very helpful.

Position Description

The suitable candidate is expected to be actively involved on the following projects and tasks

• Identifying genes and epigenetic changes associated with retinal cell aging

• Regulatory network controlling retinal cell regeneration and development

• Supervise students and independently develop projects for grant applications

Applicants should hold a PHD in a related field.
