Remote HCC Medical Coder

Description

We are looking for a detail oriented and experienced HCC Medical Coder with at least 3 years of experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate must hold a CPC (Certified detail oriented Coder) certification and have a thorough understanding of coding guidelines and practices. This is a remote position, so we expect the applicant to be self-managed and committed to working effectively from their own environment. Job Responsibilities: Coding and abstracting information accurately from patient's electronic records. Assuring the final diagnoses and operations are valid and complete. Applying relevant HCC coding guidelines and regulations. Reviewing coding for accuracy and completeness following coding guidelines and practices. Auditing clinical documentation and coded data to validate that the coding used is in compliance with regulatory standards. Interacting with providers to clarify information and obtain additional documentation. Maintain accuracy rate of 95% or better on audit reviews. This is a remote position, thus a strong internet connection, a quiet working environment, and being tech-savvy are vital for success in this role. Requirements

3+ years of HCC coding experience. Valid CPC (Certified detail oriented Coder) certification is required. Knowledge of medical terminology, A& P, and disease processes. Strong knowledge of medical coding rules and regulations. Proficient in E& M coding and ICD-10 coding. Ability to meet strict deadlines and maintain high levels of confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer and 10-key proficiency
