Job Title: Reliability Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Reliability Specialist to join our team. This is a salaried position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all safety policies, maintain site equipment records, and identify and resolve productivity issues. You will lead preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives, prepare cost justifications for projects, and support a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

• Ensure team members and contractors work safely and comply with all safety policies.

• Maintain drawings and ISO-compliant maintenance records for site equipment.

• Identify chronic yield, uptime, and productivity issues and implement corrective actions.

• Assist with budget preparation.

• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance to improve productivity and reduce costs.

• Prepare cost justifications for projects.

• Participate in identifying and developing training for department skills.

• Support and champion safety initiatives.

• Maintain a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance, and process excellence.

• Assist with site regulatory compliance.

• Partner with Operations Team for clarification and additional information.

• Originate and process emergency work orders when needed.

• Validate and document all modifications made to equipment.

• Assist in writing and updating standard maintenance procedures.

• Familiarize with new equipment and assist in training other technicians.

• Stay informed of process changes affecting equipment operation.

• Assist with large installations and equipment modification projects.

• Maintain a team effort attitude and approach.

• Lead and support the effective implementation of investment projects for capacity or facility expansion and upgrades.

• Lead 6s and TPM initiatives.

• Understand and implement strategic management aspects of reliability engineering, including its relationship to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

• Plan for reliability programs and integrate various engineering and operational systems to achieve overall program and organizational goals.

• Develop models to analyze and predict performance using block diagrams, physics of failure, apportionment, dynamics of reliability, and simulations.

• Develop reliability test plans representing expected use environment and operational conditions.

• Identify, collect, analyze, and manage data to minimize failures and improve performance.

• Use failure analysis and root cause analysis in support of reliability.

• Provide backup for Maintenance Leader.

• Train designated backup and others in all tasks.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Professional certification preferred (TPM, CMRT or other relevant certification)

• Six Sigma Black or Green Belt preferred

• OSHA 10 Hour Certification

• Certified or eligible to become certified in CPR/First Aid/BBP

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00
