    Schedule: Monday Through Friday, Flexible Daytime hours (no weekends, no nights)

    The Registered Nurse assists in the medical care and treatment of students. In the short, or on long term absence of the Health and Wellness Director, may serve as acting Health and Wellness Director.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Must create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.
    • Conducts cursory examinations of all new students.
    • Conducts a cursory of health evaluations of new students.
    • Measures and records student vital signs, conducts hearing and vision screening, obtain and test urine, apply, read, and document results of PPD's.
    • Performs phlebotomy procedures and collects specimens as required by National Job Corps Protocol.
    • Administers medication, monitors, and follows up to observe students. Reports adverse reactions to medication to the Health and Wellness Director.
    • Assists with scheduling and follow up of medical appointments on center and community appointments.
    • Serves as Co-Disability Coordinator, managing and providing medical accommodations to students.
    • Supports HEALS committee and activities.
    • Attends required staff training sessions.
    • Rotating on call schedule.

    Requirements:

    Minimum: High school graduate plus State RN license + one year experience. Model company Core Values.

    Preferred: Minimum plus Job Corps or medical clinic experience.

    Knowledge Required: Sound nursing techniques. Ability to relate effectively to student population. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to carry out instructions without constant supervision. Must maintain CPR/First Aid certificates.

    Compensation details: 29.11-29.11 Hourly Wage
