    Job Description:

    As a Nutrition Support Dietitian with Coram CVS/specialty infusion services, you will utilize use your clinical nutrition experiences, along with patient education and relationship development to support patients receiving specialized complex therapy infusion services. Must have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills to interact with key stakeholders and patients. You will play an instrumental role in making a real difference by improving the quality of life for patients in need.

    Registered Dietitians with Coram CVS/specialty infusion services, have a uniquely rewarding setting to use their exceptional nutritional skills. As a national leader in the home infusion/tube feeding field, those special dietitians who not only possess strong clinical acumen, but the kind of deep compassion and sensitivity it takes to build one-on-one relationships and support patients receiving parenteral nutrition therapy in the comfort of their home.

    Key responsibilities

    • Assist in the qualification and documentation of medical necessity for all payors for total parenteral nutrition (TPN) therapies to secure reimbursement for home TPN.

    • Provide ongoing monitoring, assessments and recommend therapeutic interventions as appropriate. Prepare written communication of follow-up nutrition care in the medical record and communicate findings to the physician and other pertinent care givers.

    • Evaluate TPN and dual therapy patient (TPN and tube feeding) prescriptions including formula (macro and micronutrients), volume, administration and other parameters based on specific patient needs.

    • Coordinate the clinical plan of care with branch team. Work with the clinical department managers to educate internal staff on appropriate nutrition therapy, nutrition policies and procedures and reimbursement related topics.

    • Lead/Participate in nutrition support team meetings/patient care conferences and contributes appropriate clinical information.

    • Provide patient and care giver instruction related to nutrition therapy and oral diet at home as ordered by the physician.

    • Work with sales team to identify potential growth opportunities for home TPN. Develop and maintain nutrition customer relationships. Serve as a content expert for sales support activities which may include providing continuing education programs.

    • Participate in national and local nutrition organizations.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Current registration by the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association is required

    • Registered Dietitian with current license in state of residence with the ability to obtain licensure in the state of MA upon hire. Additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas.

    • Minimum two years of experience with TPN and tube feeding

    • Advanced certification in nutrition support (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) on hire or completed within first year of employment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Nutrition Support experience within homecare

    • A.S.P.E.N membership

    • CNSC certification a plus, but not required

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field is required.

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is

    $24.64 - $53.53

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
