Our client, a leading label manufacturing company, is seeking a Receiving Inventory Specialist to maintain records of materials in inventory.
Job Title: Receiving Inventory Specialist
Location: Brea, CA
Pay Range: $20 - $25/hr.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7am - 4pm
What's the Job?
Maintaining records of materials in inventory. Ensuring inventory is kept accurate by following defined processes and procedures. Reconciling inventory discrepancies and notifying supervisor of irregularities.
Duties:
Follow established procedures for maintaining accurate inventory.
Consistently look for ways to improve inventory accuracy.
Train and establish uniform use of new or updated processes and procedures.
Investigate and determine the cause of inventory discrepancies, including mis-picks, lost or missing items, and shorts/overages.
Perform quality control functions on inventory.
Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes work orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.
Maintains database, performs physical inventory count, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
Oversee, receive, unpack, and deliver goods.
Restock items as necessary; label shelves as necessary to maintain efficiencies.
Process and document returns as required following established procedures.
Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, checking email, and answering calls.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Report any non-conformity on substandard equipment to the General Manager.
Operate forklift to transport raw materials to proper destinations.
Safety is a condition of employment. Understand and practice the company Safety Program as stated in the Employee Handbook.
Understand and practice work instructions.
Participate in resolving all related issues or complaints using the Corrective Action System.
Take note of work start, end, and lunch. Sr. Management must authorize overtime before actually incurring.
Duties may be changed or additional duties assigned.
1+ years experience in operating a scissor lift, reach, and/or stand up truck
1+ year experience in shipping/receiving/inventory
Must work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening and leadership skills, are needed.
Ability to interpret instructions, both oral and written
High School Diploma or Equivalent. One or more years of related experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory. One year of experience operating a scissor lift, reach and/or stand-up truck.
Reviewing job tickets and verifying stock, inks, and dies are available and used as specified.
