  • Overview:

    DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Rapid Response Sr. Network Engineer to join our team on the upcoming Enterprise DISA JSP ETM Services 2.0 program.

    This position is onsite in the Washington, DC area. 

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provide rapid response to high-priority incidents, managing break-fix scenarios across the transport network infrastructure.

    • Collaborate closely with the JNOSC Core Engineering Team, Service Restoral Team, TACLANE Team, and other response teams to swiftly resolve incidents affecting network availability.

    • Ensure all network assets, including hardware, software, and documentation, are configured and documented according to DoD and JSP engineering standards.

    • Maintain baseline configurations of all network assets to ensure compliance with DISA’s STIG requirements prior to deployment.

    • Support the development and maintenance of the Configuration Managed Database (CMDB) to track infrastructure data, including assets, incidents, problems, changes, releases, and capacity.

    • Ensure that the CMDB accurately reflects all configurations and updates, enabling JSP to meet or exceed SLAs with customers.

    • Use the Unclassified Government system to monitor warranty and licensing status of network hardware and software, ensuring compliance throughout the lifecycle of each asset.

    • Prepare monthly reports, track and document any configuration changes, including their status and classification as approved, pending, deferred, or emergency.

    • Ensure all network systems are continuously tested and validated to meet JSP and DoD standards, adhering to STIG guidelines.

    • Conduct quality assurance assessments on network configurations and report any deviations or issues promptly.

    Qualifications:

    • Active TS/SCI clearance required.

    • Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent

    • 3+ years primary role operating, troubleshooting, installing network routers and switches

    • 3+ years primary role designing, architecting routed and switched networks

    • 3+ years DoD environment

    • Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities.

    • Configuring and installing various network devices and services.

    • Monitoring network performance and resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.

    • Use of current and emergent network design principles and protocols.

    • Experience with network virtualization technologies.

    • Experience with multi-tenant network architectures.

    • Familiarity with a wide variety of network routing and switching equipment from multiple vendors.

    • Scripting languages and coding for network threshold events.

    • Certifications: At least one nationally recognized certification for senior network administrators/engineers/architects tied to the proposed solution’s routers and switches Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M ~~~ IAT Level III certification must be obtained within 120 days after start of BPA PoP for the Senior Network Engineer.
