This role is a nurse to be our Rapid Response / Code Expert. This individual will support the hospital with codes/ critical matters but will also be a unit resource, hospital educator to others when not running codes. Must be an excellent communicator and have Critical Care Mentality. When on down time, this individual will be reviewing charts, educating others. There is no on call requirement for this role.

The hours of this full-time position are 3 12-hour day shifts per week, 7am-7:30PM.

Required qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.

• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).

• 2 yr minimum of ED or ICU Experience running codes, code medication

• Experience teaching/precepting

• Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA.).

• Passion for process improvement and educating others

• Excellent Communicator

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.

• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.

• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
