    Job Description:

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Radar Software Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to exercise strong critical thinking and problem solving skills and interface verbally and in writing with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Prime Contractor.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Provide software engineering subject matter expertise for a ground based, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) radar.

    • Manage contractor software and firmware development, system/subsystem test requirements, regression testing, debugging efforts, performance verification, requirements traceability and documentation development.

    • Develop and review software requirements and operational concepts, system interfaces, and schedule and resource estimates.

    • Provide development estimates for scheduling, Implement document builds, perform unit testing, and support testing and deployment of software.

    • Support Software and Modeling and Simulation IPTs, design Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Working Groups, Design Reviews, and Code Reviews, to ensure system/subsystem designs meets requirements.

    • Evaluate and prioritize software/firmware trouble report resolutions to incorporate into new version releases based on criticality level or functionality requirements.

    • Interface with a multi-disciplinary product development team to support design, system integration, and fielding.

    • Develop and present technical briefings and reports to Senior Leadership.

    • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

    What Required Skills You'll Bring:

    • 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project

    • MS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math

    • Secret Clearance or higher required

    • Knowledge and application of phased array radar theory, function, and design

    • Knowledge and application of software lifecycle development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment?

    What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

    • Develop and review technical memorandums, white papers, and briefings supporting findings and conclusions of analyses

    • Works independently, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems within a fast-paced, dynamic environment

    • Experience with Program Management

    • Experience implementing systems engineering "V" processes

    • Ability to self-manage and initiate within team structure

    • Ability to decompose complex problems to actionable elements

    • Ability to work across organizational boundaries

    • Ability presenting complex information and concepts to Leaders at various levels

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office® applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Working knowledge of MDA Systems Engineering processes and procedures

    • Working knowledge of MDA organizational structure

    • Working knowledge of Missile Defense System (MDS) architecture and concepts

    Salary Range

    $117,000.00 - $210,600.00
