Tuesday | 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Wednesday | 11:30 AM - 8 PM

Thursday | 11:30 AM - 8 PM

Friday | 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Summary

• Under the direction of the radiologist, the MR technologist performs a variety of MR procedures on pediatric and adult patients. They have the ability to perform all MR procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning, magnetic field safety and cross-sectional anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history, explains the procedure, gains consent for contrast material administration and address any patient concerns prior to beginning the procedure.

• Performs all necessary checks for accuracy of the prescription, precertification/authorization if required by individual insurance companies, Soarian order and patient identification.

• Perform all MR procedures following the appropriate imaging protocols.

• Compiles and reviews images, provides applicable comparison studies, and prepares documentation for interpretation.

• Performs quality control testing as required.

• Clean, adjust and perform routine maintenance on equipment; stock and replenish supplies as required.

Credentials

• Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)

• Advanced level certification in MRI (MR) within 1 (one) year of hire.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience

• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

• Education Specialization: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program resulting in a two year certificate and/or associate degree (Required)

• Bachelor of Arts or Science (Preferred)
