    Job Title: Engineering Technician

    Job Description

    The Engineering Technician has the primary responsibility of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of decarbonization equipment. This equipment is in a pilot phase, and the Engineering Tech will be part of the team commissioning, operating, maintaining, and participating in the continuous improvement of the equipment. They will work manually with the mechanical components of the equipment and will participate in process improvements and enhancements based on their work.

    Tasks and responsibilities

    Client interaction: The pilot equipment is deployed on a customer site, and the Engineering Tech must feel confident in their professionalism and ability to communicate with the client.

    Work in an industrial environment, out in the elements, and being hands-on "turning a wrench".

    Communicate issues to other members of the engineering team for necessary adjustments and fixes.

    Document field modifications and changes to any pilot equipment and submit to the sustaining engineering team.

    Following full installation and start-up of the equipment, the role will include preventative maintenance checks and dashboard monitoring for issues.

    Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

    Log and document equipment hours, performed maintenance, and material use.

    Hard Skills

    Demonstrated experience working with mechanical components of machinery

    Experience with chemical and/or industrial processes (ideal)

    Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvement

    Soft Skills

    Professionalism

    Effective communication

    Customer Service experience

    Physical ability to climb up ladders and crawl into machinery

    Work Site

    This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Oregon.

    Work Environment

    Onsite at client, primarily outdoors (80% of the time). Required PPE includes a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and FR (flame-resistant) clothing (provided by the company).
