Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift - $18-22/HR

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift (3 PM - 11:30 PM) to verify prototype and production part assemblies, fixtures, gauges, and material characteristics to part prints and specifications using various measuring instruments and processes.

Responsibilities

• Support prototype machining and assembly to verify parts/assemblies are produced within design specifications.

• Support receiving inspection, prototype, and production departments with destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

• Perform annual component and assembly layouts per customer requirements.

• Conduct any and all layouts required for product analysis from product test lab, supplier, and customer concerns.

• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas to create measuring processes to accurately verify conformance.

• Evaluate data and prepare reports, graphs, and charts as needed to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

• Verify accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, height gauges, and electrical and functional gauges.

• Compute unspecified dimensions and other data.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities within the technician's capabilities as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Experience of 3-5 years in a quality role in automotive manufacturing.

• Experience working with steel/metal using check fixtures to measure with gauges such as mics, calipers, and height gauges.

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Some knowledge of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is advantageous but not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00
