    The Aftermarket Quality Engineer will support quality initiatives in the Aftermarket Spares Distribution Center. The individual will provide expertise to ensure the customer and organizational requirements and expectations are satisfied. The Quality Engineer will support inspection processes, the corrective action investigations, and continuous improvement for the Spares organization. The role will require the ability to communicate well with customers, program management, engineering, and operations regularly. This role will be expected to complete FAA training and support as the FAA ODA unit member.

    What You Will Do

    • Familiarity with product inspection and provide support in the quality function.

    • Able to interpret engineering drawings & specifications to validate product compliance.

    • First Article Inspection report creation and reviews

    • Experience or ability to gain Preliminary Review (PR) & Material Review Board (MRB) authority to disposition nonconforming material.

    • Complete customer and Collins delegate source inspections prior to shipment

    • Lead or participate in preventative and corrective actions.

    • Provide support relative to the collection and analysis of quality data.

    • Provide expertise, participate in, and implement process improvements.

    • Facilitate the investigation and elimination of causes of quality problems and follow-up on corrective actions.

    • Develop and analyze statistical data and product / process performance to recommend and implement improvements in targeted areas of the organization.

    • The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 8AM-5PM.

    • Travel required: 10% local.

    Qualifications You Must Have

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

    • Must be U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: ~~~- (~~~) C/section-120.62

    Qualifications We Prefer

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience with inspection of aerospace parts.

    • Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality experience

    • Experience with quality management systems such as AS9100, ISO, Conducting Internal Audits

    • Experience with FAA 14 CFR Part 21 & 14 CFR Part 145

    The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
