    The Junior Quality Engineer will play a vital role in developing and implementing quality standards for both in-house processes and supplied products. This position involves conducting thorough inspections, performing root cause analysis on customer complaints, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, be bilingual, and possess excellent analytical skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Develop and Implement Quality Standards

    • Create and update quality standards and inspection procedures for in-process and supplied products.

    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

    Supplier Quality Assurance

    • Collaborate with suppliers to

      establish

      quality requirements for supplied materials.

    • Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.

    • Implement corrective actions and improvement plans with suppliers.

    In-Process Quality Improvement

    • Monitor and

      analyze

      in-process quality data to

      identify

      areas for improvement.

    • Develop and implement process control plans to enhance product quality.

    • Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.

    Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions

    • Investigate customer complaints and quality issues to

      determine

      root causes.

    • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.

    • Track and report on the effectiveness of corrective actions.

    Quality Metrics and Reporting

    • Monitor key quality metrics such as First Pass Yield (FPY) and in-house scrap rates.

    • Prepare regular quality reports and present findings to management.

    • Use statistical methods to

      analyze

      quality data and drive continuous improvement.

    Collaboration and Communication

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and customer service.

    • Provide technical support and guidance on quality-related matters.

    • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering

      , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

    • 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

    • Experience with supplier quality management and in-process quality improvement.

    • Strong knowledge of quality standards, inspection methods, and root cause analysis techniques.

    • Proficiency

      in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and statistical analysis.

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Strong communication

      skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

    • Bilingual

      proficiency

      (English and

      Spanish)

    Preferred

    Qualifications

    • Experience in the cabinet manufacturing industry.

    • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.

    • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
