Quality Coordinator (Medical Labs)

Coordinates the actions of individuals and departments to meet the accreditation and regulatory requirements for the Medical Laboratories. Organizes and manages data and information to assist individuals and departments to complete process improvement projects

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

• Direct and maintain the Medical Laboratory Quality Management Plan.

• Direct and maintain the Medical Laboratory Safety Management Program.

• Identify problems and facilitate their resolution.

• Coordinate the Document Control Process for the Medical Laboratories.

• Provide guidance in the development and maintenance of Human Resource policies and job descriptions related to laboratory employees.

• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $67,849.60 - $108,555.20 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Chemistry/Biology/related science.

Experience: 5 years with 3 years in management or quality department preferred.

Licensure: MT or categorical ASCP or equivalent required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
