Job Description:
Seeking a Quality Care Coordinator for our Infection Prevention department on a part time basis, serving 24 hours weekly. This is a remote position but candidates must reside within 30 miles of an Essentia facility. This employee may also choose to work onsite instead of remotely.
The Infection Prevention Quality Care Coordinator assists the Infection Prevention department with completing required reporting and healthcare-associated infection surveillance activities. Completes required infectious disease reporting to the state departments of health. Assists with healthcare-associated infection surveillance as directed by the Infection Prevention Specialists. Position requires strong communication skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with co-workers and others, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent customer service and telephone skills, and the ability to work independently following standard work.
Reviews medical record and accurately completes the appropriate department of health reportable disease form.
Submits reportable disease form to appropriate department of health and documents in the medical record.
Assists with healthcare-associated infection surveillance activities as directed by the Infection Prevention specialist utilizing reports in the medical record.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting required.
Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Strong Electronic Health Record (EHR) EPIC skills preferred.
