Quality Assurance Specialist

SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Specialist will develop, implement, and coordinate TSE's product assurance program (ISO 9001:2015) by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. The Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

· Follow all requirements of ISO 9001:2015 standard.

· Perform the responsibilities of Lead Auditor including coordinating activities of internal audits and representing TSE for external audits.

· Monitor and use TSE's Quality Management System (QMS), including Nonconformances, Corrective Actions, Dispositions, and Customer Complaints.

· Develop modifications of the QMS to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within the program.

· Perform quality reviews of finished customer products to determine if current processes are capable of meeting customer specifications.

· Actively participate as part of a multifunctional team to investigate Nonconformances, establish root causes, and resolve issues with Corrective Actions.

· Recommend alternative methods and procedures during root cause investigations.

· Discuss and communicate with customers regarding Nonconformances and TSE's efforts to resolve them.

· Study the flow of information between departments and make recommendations on how to streamline organizational processes.

· Communicate with peers and senior management to formulate and establish company policies, safe operating procedures, and goals.

· Conduct management meetings with leadership to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.

· Analyze, evaluate, and present information related to factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and economic trends.

SAFETY TRAINING To perform this job successfully, an individual must complete and maintain the following Safety Training requirements: General Safety Orientation, Hazard Communications Training, HAZWOPER Awareness Training.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree from an accredited university in either Quality Assurance, Chemical/Industrial Engineering, or other related scientific field required. A minimum of 5 years of Quality Management experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment is preferred. Prior experience under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to peers, customers, public groups and senior management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sample theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, summarize data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to move about inside the office and manufacturing facility including occasionally ascending/descending ladders. The employee will be required to observe details at close range and have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee will frequently be required to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery including inspecting, detecting and positioning equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
