    QC Manager - Lincoln, NE

    This is an exempt level position

    The QC Manager is accountable for ensuring the integrity of our product throughout the manufacturing process. The QC Manager has overall responsibility for managing the QC Laboratory and the quality of all materials to ensure that they meet customer requirements. When quality issues are identified, the QC Manager will initiate an investigation and coordinate the implementation of appropriate corrective action. The QC Manager will communicate all quality issues with facility management. This position plays and active role in ensuring individual and overall plant compliance with environmental, health and safety policies.

    This position has a dotted line to the Divisional QC Manager.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Ensure all environmental and safety procedures and practices are followed

    • Advance quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the facility

    • Manage QC Technicians (staffing, scheduling, performance, development and progression)

    • Ensure that all applicable analytical tests on in-process and finished products are being performed accurately and efficiently

    • Monitor product development processes to identify deviations from quality policies

    • Maintain analytical equipment in proper working order

    • Be able to troubleshoot analytical equipment (including outside of business hours if necessary)

    • Manage laboratory preventive maintenance program and equipment service calls

    • Assist in investigations into the determination of root cause for Quality related deviations/rejections and nonconformities

    • Participate in and lead Quality discussions

    • Manage inventory and safety of all lab chemicals and supplies

    • Ensure that all local SOPs are up to date and accurate

    • Attend local production and safety meetings

    • Collaborate with colleagues from other locations with respect to troubleshooting and improvements

    • Work with and communicate with plant management regarding any Quality problems or issues that arise

    • Become familiar with the production process, specifically as it pertains to analytical

    • Ensure that all TLC profiles are set-up properly

    Job Qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree in an applied science minimum

    • Bachelor's Degree in an applied science preferred

    • Good interpersonal skills to provide feedback and guidance

    • Desire to see continuous improvement in process and programs

    • Ability to troubleshoot lab equipment (HPLCs, GCs, ICPs, etc.)

    • Able to work both independently and on a team

    • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

    • Must have excellent communication, problem solving, and good decision making skills

    • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance

    • Must be self-directed with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn
