    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR PURCHASING MANAGER

    • Responsible to ensure raw material supply and cost objectives are met or exceeded by establishing and controlling raw material inventories. 

    • Investigate variances from planned targets and establish their root cause. Formulate and implement corrective actions where needed.

    • Purchasing manager collaborates with managers and peers to fulfill internal and external customer requirements.

    • Meets regularly with manufacturing and sales personnel to provide supply chain perspective when developing customer proposals. 

    • Facilitates efficient production schedule.

    • Review supplier performance and product quality.

    • Identify and address supply chain risk by assessing vendor capabilities and supplier performance for impact on the company. 

    • Ensures alternative sourcing in critical areas to mitigate risk and reduce cost.

    • Follows Work Instructions, procedures, and company policies, including safety procedures and quality systems requirements.

    EXPERIENCE FOR PURCHASING MANAGER

    1. Experience or education equal to

    ten years

     experience.

    1. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and employees in a professional manner.

    1. Able to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions.

    1. Strong computer skills including Excel and Word and MRP.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PURCHASING MANAGER

    1. Ability to sit for long periods of time.

    1. Ability to maneuver production facility.

    1. Ability to operate various office equipment including phones, copier, computer and fax machine.
