    Position Summary

    PURCHASING CARD SPECIALIST
    Purchasing/Accounts Payable

    Full Time

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Provides faculty and staff support for the Purchasing card program
    • Perform critical review of purchasing card transactions
    • Manage University portal for Purchasing card program
    • Develop and administer appropriate training materials for the Purchasing card program
    • Propose policy and procedure changes to the program
    • Primary liaison between the University and financial institution issuing purchasing cards and the
    • Review and input of travel advances and expense reports
    • Key member of the purchasing card team
    • Handles confidential materials
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or two years of relevant experience can be substituted for the bachelor's degree
    • General business, accounting or computerized accounts payable experience
    • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present training materials for face to face and online presentations
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access
    • Proficient in web-based applications
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercising initiative
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
