Position SummaryPURCHASING CARD SPECIALIST
Purchasing/Accounts PayableFull Time
Primary Responsibilities- Provides faculty and staff support for the Purchasing card program
- Perform critical review of purchasing card transactions
- Manage University portal for Purchasing card program
- Develop and administer appropriate training materials for the Purchasing card program
- Propose policy and procedure changes to the program
- Primary liaison between the University and financial institution issuing purchasing cards and the
- Review and input of travel advances and expense reports
- Key member of the purchasing card team
- Handles confidential materials
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or two years of relevant experience can be substituted for the bachelor's degree
- General business, accounting or computerized accounts payable experience
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present training materials for face to face and online presentations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access
- Proficient in web-based applications
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercising initiative
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
