Public Senior Accountant

Description

We are on the hunt for a dedicated Public Senior Accountant to bolster our team in St. Louis. In this role, you will be required to facilitate our ERP implementation by providing interim resource support and handling a variety of accounting tasks. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the implementation of D365 in Europe by providing necessary support

• Take on a dual role by assisting with the accounting close as well as accounts receivable for collection/reporting

• Use Accounting Software Systems to ensure accurate record keeping

• Perform Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions as necessary

• Practice Accrual Accounting principles to maintain financial integrity

• Conduct audits as needed to verify the accuracy of financial data

• Manage the Financial Close Process ensuring all deadlines are met

• Oversee Monthly Financial Close activities to maintain consistent financial reporting

• Handle Commercial Collections and Billing duties as required

• Utilize Blackline for efficient accounting operations.

Requirements - Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a related field

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting functions and principles

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting practices and procedures

• Proven experience in auditing and the financial close process

• Ability to handle the monthly financial close with accuracy and efficiency

• Experience in commercial collections and billing procedures

• Proficiency in using D365 and BlackLine accounting software

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred but not mandatory

• Continual learning and development of technical and soft skills

• Ethical conduct and adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
