We currently have an immediate opening for a Project Manager located in City of Industry, California.

    Job Summary:

    The Project Manager is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, and closing large projects pertaining to x-ray security screening installations and preventative maintenance at ports and borders primarily in Mexico, USA, and/or other sites. The PM is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within the defined scope, timeframe, and budget while meeting the desired objectives and quality standards. This position requires the ability to travel to Mexico and/or within the USA approximately 50% of the time.

    Essential Functions:

    Project Management

    • Plan the delivery, installation and ongoing service for key projects.

    • Monitor project progress ensuring proper execution according to scope and timeframe.

    • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.

    • Apply project management knowledge and skills to ensure project objectives are met.

    • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.

    • Engage and manage relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.

    • Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.

    • Conduct technical demonstrations of Astrophysics products.

    • Conduct factory and site acceptance tests.

    • Additional tasks as assigned by management.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, electrical engineering or related field; or

    • 3-5 years of project management experience; or

    • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Experience working with technical products a plus.

    • PMP certification a plus.

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Professional appearance, demeanor and attitude.

    • Fluent in both written and verbal English and Spanish.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    • Full-time

    • Approximately Monday – Friday, 8:00AM to 6:00PM, with occasional need to work on weekends. (Hours and workdays subject to change based on the needs of the business.)

    • This role requires extensive travelling outside of the USA.
